Tonight, Crys and I went to the Kindergarten Fair in Sherman Oaks. I get that Sherman Oaks is much like the equivalent of driving to Moscow for some of you, but for those who made it, good on ya. It was really nice to see some of our old parents, but especially great to see the elementary admissions directors again. It all comes flooding back when people see that your passion and your drive is what’s pushing you forward. For that, we are eternally grateful. Being around like-minded educators who have a love for children brings it home for us. This is why we do what we do. This is why we climb mountains to make a difference. Having the support of not only our community of parents, but also the community of schools, leaves me speechless. It’s a really nice feeling to know that people who believe in who you are and what you do, will honor and respect your dedication to no end. That means more than you’ll ever know.
I know some of you follow our blog, so thanks to those of you who offered to hand out our Piper cards at your table. Although, given the reactions we were getting, I’d have to say that most people already knew about Piper… kinda amazing. I can’t say thanks enough. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks.
We’ve got a really big strategy meeting tomorrow. Working on moving our budget over to a new format. Finishing our finishing budget. Picking out a diving board. Getting a flooring bid from a guy who can do not only flooring, but also appliances, countertops, fixtures, networking, and audio/visual… and he’s a young guy who started his own business… which I love. Aaaaaaaand, I crushed it this week in my fantasy league… by like 50 points.
