Beach Clean-ups
Piper families and teachers met up to do their part in keeping our local beaches clean. We gathered nearly 17 tons of napkins, straws, Dorito bags, and gold.

Cultural Celebrations

Pre-K/TK Field Trips
Our oldest kiddos get to journey beyond the walls of Piper with local field trips. We’ll visit local parks, farmer’s markets, and museums. As their world gets a little bigger, so does their experience at Piper.

Parents Night Out
We host a back-to-school-night party each year (along with others)… so, get a sitter and come hang with the Piper crew, get to know other parents, and cap off the night with dinner reservations.

Piper Picnics
Grab the family and join us on a random Saturday morning for games, music, snacks, drinks, and loads of smiles. We’ll host a few of these throughout the year.

Party Book Parties
Families host parties throughout the year. Some for adults only and some for the whole family. Some are held at the school, but most are off-site. It’s a great way to get to know your fellow parents.

Community Outreach
Whether we’re writing letters or thank you cards, dropping off donuts, or opening our doors to the first responders, we make a point to stay active in the local community to show our appreciation.
COMMUNITY is our village
The Piper Philosophy extends far beyond the curriculum. We believe community is part of how children learn, grow, and find their place in the world. It’s our teachers, our families, our kiddos, our environment, and the ways we show up for one another and our wider community.
Piper is a place to call home. A place where, when you wake up, you want to be. A place where you feel a sense of belonging, meet your people, and always have a spot to recharge, connect, work, or simply hang out.
Our admin team is a beautiful blend of former Piper parents, former teachers, and longtime community experts who know and love this place deeply. And then there’s Helen - a true legend who had 30 years on us before we even broke ground back in 2009. She’s based in Santa Monica, but pokes her nose all over. She’s amazing.
Our teachers are our village - the one it takes. They know that caring for kids is never a solo job, and they bring their whole hearts, talents, and experience to the work every day.
And our parents? They’re part of the fabric, too. Each Piper campus has a dedicated Parent Workspace designed to welcome you all day long. Make yourself at home.
Because we believe the best communities don’t just happen. They’re built together.

Preschool is a big deal. Turns out, it’s not just for kids.
For starters, we wrote this while sitting in the aforementioned Parent Workspace - flush with parents working around us while we type. As a Piper Parent, you can drop off your child - and you don’t have to leave. Stay, grab a coffee, set up for a remote work day, make breakfast, or just hang out. This is a great space to get to know your fellow Piper parents, grab a snack, or make a (few) cup(s) of coffee.
